The gay community of Costa Rica has had been the victim of many human rights violations during the past few decades. For this reason, TRIANGULO ROSA, the first legally recognized gay group, has been established to help the human rights of gays and lesbians, as well as transvestites, bisexuals, and transexuales. The fundamental purpose of Triangulo Rosa is to struggle against any form of discrimination against those persons who are attracted to members of the same sex. We are also interested in helping to coordinate a Central American movement for the rights of sexual minorities.
